CGI animators should unionize next. normally, their jobs would be too precarious to strike, since studios would replace them without a second thought, but if it’s part of this larger general film strike, they might finally have meaningful power to better their working conditions
if CGI animators unionized, it would kill the MCU. straight up. the the entire business model is built on exploiting CGI animators

This petition isn’t about the Disney animators this is about the production crew! Animation artists, writers, and technicians are unionized, but most VFX artists (the ones doing the Marvel work!) and production crew are not unionized. Whether or not you’re unionized also depends on if your company/studio recognizes and hires union workers (“is union”). Walt Disney Animation Studios artists/animators are already unionized, but the non-art crew are not. And by all means please do sign the petition because production does so much hard work and deserves to be fairly compensated!!! Lots of misinformation on this post.
If you want to help VFX artists just keep ears out for the push to unionize (which is being talked about) and support them when that time comes!!!
